MATLAB Script Enhancement for Species Detection -- 2

I need to enhance an existing MATLAB script that sorts metadata from my image dataset. The script currently extracts details such as date, time, camera ID, and location. The new functionality should include species identification and population counting within the images. Specifically, I want to detect and count species like humans, Canada Goose, Egret, and Great Blue Heron.

Requirements:
- Incorporate a machine learning model for species identification
- Develop necessary MATLAB functions for species detection and counting
- Record identified species and their respective counts alongside the existing metadata
- Save the compiled data into an Excel file for further analysis
