MATLAB Programmer for Neuroscience Data (EEG) Analysis
Budget: €18 – €36 EUR
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MATLAB programmer to assist with the development of a data analysis function for neuroscience experiments. Your primary role will be to write a MATLAB function that processes and analyzes electrophysiology data obtained from hippocampal brain slices. The data includes paired synaptic responses and the effects of various drug cocktails on these responses.
Responsibilities:
Develop a MATLAB function to import and process .wcp data files using import_wcp.m function.
Write code to analyze the data and extract key parameters, such as the average peak amplitude of the first fEPSP under different drug conditions.
Implement statistical analyses to determine the effects of the various drug treatments on the peak amplitude of the first response.
Ensure the code is well-documented with clear comments and a brief 'help' description explaining the function's usage, inputs, and outputs.
Collaborate with the research team to understand the experimental details and incorporate them into the data analysis code.
Test the code rigorously to ensure accuracy and robustness.
Optimize the code for efficiency and performance.
Provide ongoing support and address any issues or bugs that arise during the analysis process.
