Design a laser in MATLAB Simulink with output power port that is normally used for long haul communication system. Laser should be designed as direct modulation where changing the input current will change the output power.

I need to design a laser in MATLAB Simulink that needs to have a output power port. One possible option is designing a quantum well laser, but I need a different laser for my project.
Second task will be showing the noises the laser produces(relative intensity noise, shot noise or any other noise will be fine).
