Energy recovery heat exchanger is used to recover thermal energy from reject of desalination system.
Design an optimised heat exchanger to facilitate heat transfer between the desalination reject and feed
stream. Make use of MATLAB optimisation routines (genetic algorithm, simulated annealing or particle
swarm) to conduct the study. Investigate the effect of temperature, flow rate and heat exchanger geometry
on the performance of the heat exchanger.
