Convert Matlab code to C or C++ for faster running

Hi, I have a code with multiple sub-functions (mostly geometrical stuff, distance calculations - between spheres, spheres and cylinders, etc.-) currently coded in Matlab which I was told would run much faster if converted to C or C++. I don't know these coding languages so I'm looking at outsourcing. Adding all lines together, it's probably about 2000-2500 lines.
