openfaom simulation
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I am looking for an OpenFAOM expert to help with fluid flow simulation for a specific model. I am hoping for a basic overview of the simulation results to best meet my needs. My project requires knowledge of simulation and modeling techniques related to OpenFAOM, including an understanding of CFD concepts such as numerical integration, linear algebra, finite differences, and turbulence models. The successful applicant should be able to create their own models within OpenFAOM to simulate and analyze a range of given scenarios.
I am confident that the right applicant can produce a reliable and accurate general overview of the fluid flow simulation results on the specified model. This is a great opportunity for those with experience in using OpenFAOM for simulation and modeling. If you think you can deliver the results I'm looking for, then please apply for the job now. Thanks for your time and I look forward to seeing your application!
I have a 3d model created in Blender which exists as an stl file. The model is a car exhaust tip which is intended to function as an exhaust extractor using the added velocity of road air to reduce back pressure at the exhaust tip. I am not looking for an engineering solution but for a model that will allow different exhaust and road speed characteristics to be applied to the model to help visualise how the exhaust tip functions. The attached PDF shows the kind of item and how it is intended to work.
In simple terms I imagine having two programmable inputs. The first will be the flow into the exhaust tip from the exhaust pipe. This will be a series of pulsed exhaust which will be the displaced volume of the cylinder at programmable engine speeds. The second input will be the road speed of the vehicle. From the attached PDF you will see that the eye shape allows road-air to mix at the tip of the SNAP which is intended to improve engine performance.
I want to simulate how this is intended to work in principle and to be able to create a set of simulated videos depending on the different programmable inputs.
