math tutor
Budget: $8 – $24 USD
I am looking for a math tutor for my 2 middle school students who are accelerated in math by 2 years.
7th grader currently enrolled in Algebra 1
6th grader studying 8th grade math.
Both students are conscientious & diligent. They each consistently score 98-100% in all their subjects.
You will reinforce their work in class, and help them accelerate their studying to get ahead, and possibly skip another grade of math in middle school.
We prefer online tutoring sessions for convenience. We will choose a mutually convenient time once a week after school (4 - 7pm EST) for about 60-120 min (for both students).
We hope to find a knowledgeable and experienced tutor who has a track record of working with advanced students of this age. You should be able to explain mathematical concepts clearly in English, methodically, and be patient and kind.
You must be experienced with the Common Core standards and their ways of teaching, ideally the North Carolina standards. We hope to find a good match that may stay with us for 2-3 years, possibly longer. We will use district materials and any that you can provide.
