Need to work out the list of possible combinations of answers for some research.
There are 10 questions in the study (named Questions 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21)
Each of these eight questions have 5 possible answers, being a, b, c, d, e. (12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21)
Each of these two questions have 2 possible answers, being a or b (15, 18)
I need a list of possible combinations for my research, in excel format.
For example;
12a 13a 14a 15b 16a 17a 18b 19a 20a 21e
12b 13a 14a 15b 16a 17a 18b 19a 20a 21e
12c 13a 14a 15b 16a 17a 18b 19a 20a 21e
12d 13a 14a 15b 16a 17a 18b 19a 20a 21e
12e 13a 14a 15b 16a 17a 18b 19a 20a 21e
12a 13b 14a 15b 16a 17a 18b 19a 20a 21e
12a 13c 14a 15b 16a 17a 18b 19a 20a 21e
etc etc etc... I estimate there to be around 500+ combinations.
** Remember, EACH question has 5 possible combinations (a, b, c, d, e), except questions 15 & 18 which only have 2 possible combinations (a or b)
Each question can only provide one answer per equation (so ONE answer from question 12, being either 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, or 12e)
- ONE answer from every question MUST be provided.
I need every combination possible, so that I can write text scripts for each possible combination in an automation program.
- I reiterate, ONE answer for each of the 10 questions must be provided, and no more than ONE answer from each question.
- - there are programs that do it for you, but I cannot find the ones that take a/b/c/d/e into account, only the main question number. You are welcome to use a program to do it for you, if you can find one.
