Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled mathematical modeling expert to develop a dynamic pricing algorithm for our bulk food ordering system. The successful candidate will create a model that considers factors such as the number of plates and item dependencies to calculate the total cost for bulk food orders.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the project team to understand the requirements and specifications of the bulk food ordering system.
Define variables, relationships, and dependencies relevant to the problem statement, such as the number of plates, item categories, and pricing factors.
Develop a mathematical model for the dynamic pricing algorithm using equations, functions, or other mathematical constructs.
Analyze the model to understand the relationships between variables and their effects on the total cost.
Optimize the model by adjusting variables, dependencies, or other factors to achieve the desired pricing outcome.
Validate the model by testing it with various scenarios and provide recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with the development team to implement the algorithm into the application.
Clearly communicate the mathematical concepts and model structure to the project team.
Document the model, assumptions, and any limitations for future reference and maintenance.

Requirements

Strong background in mathematical modeling, algorithm, optimization, and numerical methods.
Proficient in mathematical software and tools such as Desmos, Wolfram Alpha, or MATLAB and computer softwares.
Experience with programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
