High School Freshman Tutor Needed: mainly Algebra with additional homework/test prep for English, US History & Biology
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I am looking for an experienced tutor to help a freshman high school student with the following subjects: primarily Algebra but additional help such as test prep may be needed for English, US History, and Biology. This tutoring will involve daily review of homework, ensuring comprehension of class topics, and preparing for quizzes/exams.
In addition to subject-specific tutoring, we would like the tutor to work on helping the student develop better organizational and time management skills. The tutor should provide strategies to keep the student on track with assignments, improve study habits, and ensure overall academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily review and explanation of homework in Algebra and occasional help with English, US History & Biology
Prepare the student for quizzes, tests, and exams.
Provide organizational and time management support.
Occasionally assist on weekends when additional support is needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience tutoring high school students in the USA, especially in Math and English.
Strong proficiency in Algebra and English, with the ability to help with US History and Biology.
Patient and able to adjust teaching methods to suit the student’s learning style.
Familiarity with the high school curriculum.
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 60-90 minutes per day (more if needed)
Occasional weekend sessions as needed.
