Game Math
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
Need someone to figure out how many 3 pointers and 2 pointers would be made and missed based on the following game rules. The timing parameter is for every 160 hands; I need the averages. I understand a basic program may need to be coded to find solution.
note: video poker decision making: it is just based on pairs of the same cards. if no pairs come out with first hand: if a face card is present it will be held. Otherwise no cards are held.
Here are the rules:
all you need is two six sided die and a deck of cards. I personally play with 4 decks 2 sets of different decks. To help me keep track of who has the ball.
40 possessions per quarter
Tip of 1d6. 1-4 - HOME possession
Before each possession roll 2d6. 1-1 block
1-2 steal
6-5 possessions foul (alternate team penalized)
any sum of 7 is shooting fouL
other result is followed by a possession.
Possessions are 2 five card poker hands dealt ie. video poker. After first deal, player chooses x # of cards to hold for 2nd deal.
If player gets a 3 of a kind or two pair then it is a 3 pointer. If the player gets a pair (face cards) then it is two points.
A pair of non face cards is a missed 3 pointer. Other results are a missed 2 pointer.
if shooting foul occurs player can only flop one 5 card set (no 2nd turn). Above scoring and missed FG rules apply).
For free throws roll 2d6 7/11 or missed.
After a missed FG or FT flip additional card. If red face card then there is an offensive rebound.
Possession after an offensive rebound unless after a free throw does not count as possession.
If video poker hand is a full house, flush, or any straight. Other team takes over possession.
