Figuring a formula for a game upgrade (get total cost based on level)
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I am seeking a skilled mathematician to help me create a formula for a game upgrade in my simulation game. The upgrade currently has over a million levels, and I need the formula to calculate the total cost based on the level. The formula currently uses two variables - base and level. (base + base * level) * (x ^ level) OR (base + base * level) * ((x + level / 10000) ^ level), those are the 2 formula used for the price of the upgrade, the goal is to figure a formula to get the total cost that it would take to go from current level to one based on the resource available
Example : Upgrade is actually level 24 and you have 10 million gold, how many level can you buy and what is the cost? (+x level and the sum to reach this level is y gold)
