2nd Grade Math Olympiad Tutor

I’m looking for an experienced math tutor who can coach my 2nd grader for upcoming Olympiad-style contests. Arithmetic is the main area we need to strengthen, but every session should still keep the broader spirit of problem-solving alive so my child feels prepared for the variety of questions that appear in these competitions.

My daughter is already working at an intermediate level for his age, so lessons shouldn’t start with the absolute basics; instead, I’d like you to stretch him with multi-step word problems, mental-math shortcuts, and timed drills that mirror Olympiad formats. He learns best through verbal explanations and open discussion—walking through the logic aloud, asking “why,” and hearing real-time feedback—so please be comfortable engaging that way rather than relying heavily on visual aids or hands-on props.

Deliverables
• A weekly lesson plan tailored to 2nd-grade Olympiad arithmetic, shared in advance so I can track progress
• Short recap notes after each session that highlight key strategies covered and practice questions for homework
• Periodic mini-assessments to gauge improvement and adjust the difficulty curve accordingly
