EVA Foam Formulation Specialist

I need an experienced chemical engineer to create and refine an end-to-end compounding formula and production protocol for EVA foam sheets that combine high durability with soft cushioning.
Scope
• Develop the precise resin, cross-linking, and additive recipe to deliver long-wear performance while maintaining a plush feel.
• Specify mixing, foaming, curing, and cooling parameters so the sheet exits the line consistently within our required hardness, density, and rebound range.
• Advise on the most suitable blowing agents and process aids to avoid yellowing or odor.
• Tailor the formulation and line settings for several custom sheet dimensions; I will provide the exact sizes once the project starts.
• Outline a quality-control checklist (physical tests, acceptable tolerances, sampling frequency) we can follow in-house.
Deliverables
1. Detailed formulation document with materials, percentages, and supplier references.
2. Step-by-step production guide, including temperature, pressure, and timing windows.
3. Troubleshooting matrix for common defects (surface pits, uneven cell structure, color variations).
4. Final review session to ensure the first pilot run meets spec and to fine-tune if needed.
