Chimney Masonry Repair Needed
Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 USD
The top item on my to-do list is repairing the masonry around an existing chimney. This is a repair job rather than new construction, so I need the damaged areas brought back to a solid, weather-tight condition without altering the original appearance.
What the work involves:
• On-site inspection of the chimney to confirm all trouble spots
• Careful removal of loose or failing mortar and bricks
• Repointing and replacement with matching materials
• Final sealing or waterproofing to keep moisture out
• Clean-up of the work area
Once the chimney is sound, I will also have some interior drywall patching and a few minor electrical adjustments to wrap up the project. If you can handle those tasks as well, great—otherwise I can schedule them separately.
Please tell me about similar chimney repair projects you have completed and the typical timeline you would need from assessment through clean-up.
