Part Time marketing job

We are a Contruction company based in the DRC looking for someone to work with us for marketing. We are expanding to a new province and fast growing so hence a focus on streamlining and professionalising the company identity. We have not completely defined the role as we are not sure it will depend on the person we manage to find and if they are able to perform. There is certainly a long term opportunity to work on as managing our marketing and especially social media. Some of the things described below can not be done from a distance (example/ search for billboards), so those tasks can be supplemented with local support by me.

Some of the weaknesses we have identified that we need someone to work on are:

1. Profile- This is the most urgent and desperately needed. I have started a structure and plan so you can take it further and create the actual brochure. We can engage freelancers for proof reading and adjustments if necessary, and a graphic designer to design it.

2. Billboards/electronic billboards - design, find best places and manage printing and putting up process.

3. Social Media- very important and need a long term strategy too

4. Website

5. Other media- magazines, etc and others you can think of. we have done it before but never followed up

6. Marketing system- we don’t have all our marketing materials, photos form monthly visits (we have a photogrpaher we engage every month), brochures , etc in one place like a Google drive

7. uniforms- we would like to explore designing uniforms for our site workers. I have a few contacts for this but am not able to follow. This task might be removed if too difficult to coordinate for someone from afar

8. Adverts- the local photogrpaher makes us adverts as well but we want to try getting the raw footage and engaging an external person to do the editing and make something a bit more better standard.

9. Formulate a marketing plan for a new city we are entering, Kinshasa, which is the capital

10. Design and order marketing materials like pens, caps etc. Also we want to make some marketing packs to give new clients when they sign contracts, and maybe something in handover of the projects. We also want to design some nice folders for contract and plans when given to the client

11. Establish a client database of phone numbers, WhatsApp and emails for marketing

12. Be in charge of creating digital WhatsApp messages or cards for Independence Day, Christmas, new year etc


I must stress- this ad is not searching for graphic designers or such, we are looking for someone to manage our marketing and probably in the process would hire such freelancers to work on projects partially. I am looking for someone to manage the marketing and I don’t mind hiring specialists for tasks or hosting contests for example for billboards

A HIGH level of English is very important. French is our language however we all speak English and marketing documents can be made in English and translated online. However knowledge of French is always a plus point

I would stress you would bid a reasonable hourly rate considering this would be around 10 hours a week to start with and potentially up to 20.
