I need help with interview research for a Business Development role in video games distribution company in Singapore
Budget: $12 – $30 SGD
I am proposing ideas to increase revenues and new clients for a hiring company in games distribution and publishing who is interviewing me for a Business Development role I applied for. As I have no prior experience in the gaming industry, I hope to get some ideas from somebody who used to do such a BD role for a games distribution company which does not have their own developed games (yet).
You should be in a BD role for a video games company and have remarkable sales achievements in the games industry, preferably in Asia. Please do provide your LinkedIn profile for my consideration.
What you should help me with is suggest ideas, industry and competitor insights (it can be a simple 1 or 2 page WORD document) based on the Job Description (JD) and the company profile on what I could do to excel in the role if I were hired.
I also need an insight of what a BD role in a gaming company would do on a daily basis and who they would communicate with or approach to get new business.
The JD is as follow:
· Drive effective revenue growth and business expansion strategies and approaches to increase monetization opportunities.
· To research, monitor and understand the market and competitive trends to create strategic plans that will deliver desired results.
· Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements and financials.
· Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations.
· Conduct research on prospective firms and prepare customized presentation decks for BD teams to use in negotiation meetings
· Support fundraising efforts when necessary
· Support various merger and acquisition business set up and coordinate with various departments to review various finance and operational processes.
· Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Gaming/ Tech landscape in order to identify opportunities to develop strategic partnerships.
· Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
I already have a few ideas but I am unsure if they would work or is suitable to present during my interview, please see attached file for it.
