Verify Thai SIM & Taobao Signup

Job ID: 40108067

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I need someone who is physically in Thailand to test, step-by-step, how easy it is for a foreigner or resident to buy and activate a personal SIM card, then use that number to open a brand-new Taobao account. The mobile operator is flexible—AIS, DTAC, TrueMove H or any other carrier you prefer—so long as the process reflects what an ordinary walk-in customer would experience.

Here’s what the assignment involves:

1. Purchase & Activation
• Visit any retail outlet or kiosk and buy a prepaid SIM.
• Note every document the clerk requests (passport, Thai ID, biometric scan, etc.), the plan you choose, total cost, and the time it takes before the number is usable.
• Record any restrictions you are told about—daily spend limits, expiration rules, roaming blocks, real-name registration checks.

2. Taobao Registration Test
• Use that fresh Thai number to create a new Taobao account via the Taobao mobile app or taobao.com.
• Capture whether the site accepts the +66 prefix, how quickly the SMS verification code arrives, and whether you can reach the final logged-in dashboard.
• Note any error messages or extra verification hurdles (e.g., mainland-only requirement, Alipay tie-in).

3. Report & Evidence
• A concise write-up (Word, Google Doc or PDF) summarising each step, costs, time stamps and any difficulties.
• Clear photos or screenshots: SIM packaging, purchase receipt, ID requirements signage, SMS code arrival, and the Taobao success (or failure) screen.
• Your personal comment on whether the process seems repeatable for other users.

Acceptance criteria
✓ Report answers all bullet points above.
✓ Screenshots are legible and tied to the same phone number.
✓ Taobao account status—successful or blocked—is stated with proof.

This is a straightforward field test, perfect for someone who already planned to pick up a new SIM or doesn’t mind a short errand.
