We’re seeking a freelance Research and Sourcing Specialist with strong connections and experience in the pharmaceutical industry to help identify manufacturing companies in India capable of exporting medicines to African markets.
Job Description:
As our freelance Research and Sourcing Specialist, you will work on a project basis to identify and establish relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers in India with export capacity to Africa. You’ll assess their credentials, negotiate terms, and compile a database of qualified suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct targeted research to find Indian pharmaceutical manufacturers with export capabilities and compliance with international health standards.
Evaluate suppliers based on production capacity, export terms, certifications, and quality assurance processes.
Initiate contact and develop a network of reputable suppliers.
Collect and maintain detailed records on each supplier’s terms, pricing, certifications, and export readiness.
Report findings and recommendations to the management team.
Requirements:
Proven experience in research, sourcing, or procurement, ideally within pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
Strong understanding of international export regulations, particularly between India and Africa.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical quality standards and certifications (e.g., WHO-GMP) is a plus.
