Product research for a future e-commerce brand

My investment company is looking for someone who can find, on the basis of criteria that will be provided a product to create a e-commerce brand (dropshipping first, then private label after testing)
Our goal is to find a person who is able to identify a product that is not "trendy" we are looking for a product that people want and will continue to want.
The difference will be in the exceptional marketing and the large budget we have. We don't want to adopt the "finding a winner and making money short term" mentality of the dropshipping comunnity.
