Online Course Business Builder

Job ID: 40356633

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Summary
I am looking for a highly experienced freelancer or small team to help me build a scalable online course business designed for long-term, semi-passive income.

This is not just about creating one course.
I want to work with someone who understands the full business side of online education and can help build a repeatable system that can be expanded over time.

My goal is to create multiple courses in the right topics, on the right platforms, with a model that can generate recurring income over time. I want someone who can help with the setup, production, publishing, optimization, and initial management — and later hand over the operation to me once the system is stable.

I am not looking for generic course creators.
I want someone who has already done this successfully for clients or for themselves and can show proof of experience, results, and process.

What I need help with

Identifying course topics with real market demand
Recommending the best platforms to publish on
Building a course strategy focused on scalable long-term income
Creating and organizing courses efficiently
Handling publishing and platform setup
Optimizing titles, descriptions, structure, and positioning
Advising on what type of courses are most likely to sell
Creating a process that can later be handed over to me
Recommending future course ideas based on trends and demand

Ideal candidate
You have real experience in building online course businesses, not just course production.

You should ideally have experience with one or more of the following:

Udemy
Skillshare
Teachable
Thinkific
Kajabi
Other course marketplaces or self-hosted course models

You should understand:

course topic research
keyword/demand research
publishing strategy
course monetization
evergreen content strategy
low-risk testing before scaling

Important
I do not want to spend a lot of time in back-and-forth chat with freelancers who send generic answers.

Please only apply if you can answer all the questions below clearly in your first message.

Applications that do not answer the questions will not be considered.

Questions you must answer in your first reply

What exactly have you done in the online course business before?
Have you built courses for clients, for yourself, or both?
Which platforms have you worked with?
What were the results? Please be specific.
Can you show examples, links, screenshots, student numbers, reviews, revenue ranges, or other proof?
What part of the process did you personally handle?
How do you decide what course topics are worth producing?
What course types or niches do you believe are most promising right now?
If you were starting from scratch with me, what would your recommended low-risk plan be?
How would you structure the first 30–90 days?
What would you do yourself, and what would you expect from me?
How do you price your work: fixed, hourly, per course, revenue share, or hybrid?
What would be the most cost-efficient way to start?
How would you build this so that I can later take over the operation myself?
What mistakes do most course sellers make?
Why are you a better fit than others for this role?

Please do not apply if

you only do video editing
you only create slides but have no strategy experience
you have no real proof of past results
you rely on generic promises without process
you want to sell a large package before validating the first step

First project goal
The first goal is not to build a huge course business immediately.
The first goal is to validate a smart, low-risk model that can be scaled.

I want to begin with the right foundation:

right topics
right production model
right platform mix
right cost structure
right handover process

If the first phase works well, I want this to become an ongoing collaboration for future course launches.

Budget
I am open to hearing different models, but I want a cost-conscious and realistic approach.
I prefer a practical test-first structure rather than an expensive large upfront commitment.

The right person for this role should be focused on building a real business model, not just selling course production hours.
