Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer and Funding Specialist to research and secure funding opportunities for a vocational 12-week course program in the construction and trades sector. The role involves finding government grants and private funding sources (corporate sponsorships, partnerships, etc.) for educational initiatives and workforce development programs in New Zealand.
Responsibilities:
Research and identify government grants, corporate sponsorships, and private funding sources available in 2024 for apprenticeship programs, workforce training, or skills development.
Provide a detailed report on potential funding providers and the application process.
Draft grant proposals and funding applications tailored to our construction-focused education program.
Align the funding search with New Zealand’s workforce development priorities, focusing on apprenticeships and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
Proven experience in grant writing and securing government or private funding for educational or workforce training programs.
Knowledge of New Zealand’s educational grants, particularly Apprenticeship Boost, Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), and similar initiatives.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail in drafting proposals.
Ability to meet deadlines and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
Deliverables:
Comprehensive list of potential funding providers and grants.
Fully drafted grant applications and proposals ready for submission.
