Australian Public Venues Data Compilation
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
We're seeking a detail-oriented freelancer to research and compile a comprehensive list of high-traffic public venues across Australia, such as:
Theme parks
Amusement parks
Zoos and aquariums
Botanic gardens
Iconic tourist landmarks
Large playgrounds and public spaces
Family entertainment centres
Animal farms and wildlife parks
Adventure and water parks
Objective:
We need this list to understand where large numbers of people gather regularly in each state/territory of Australia. This will help us in market targeting, event planning, and deployment strategies for interactive public-facing technology.
Deliverables must include:
Breakdown by State/Territory (e.g. NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT, NT)
City-by-city organisation within each state
For each venue, include the following in a clearly structured spreadsheet table:
Venue Name
Street Address & Suburb
City / Town
State
Estimated annual visitors OR average foot traffic (if available)
Phone Number
Official Website
Type of Attraction (e.g. Zoo, Theme Park, Public Garden)
Data quality matters!
Sources must be reliable and traceable (official websites, tourism boards, or reputable third-party listings). You may include a reference/source column if helpful.
Bonus points if:
You include operating hours and entry fee information
The list is visually clean, filterable, and ready for presentation
You suggest any free API sources or datasets that could be leveraged
Deadline:
We’d like to get this work completed within 5–7 days from project start.
Other Notes:
Australian-based freelancers preferred, but not required.
Strong research and Excel/Sheets skills are a must.
Please include a sample of your past research work or show that you understand what’s being asked.
