Australia In-Store Customer Observation
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I need a detail-oriented freelancer who is already on the ground in Australia to visit a selection of specialty stores and capture how shoppers actually interact with a specific product range. During each visit you will quietly watch genuine customer behaviour, note how long they linger, what triggers their interest, and whether they pick up or purchase the item.
While observing, please record the full context of the product’s placement: where it sits on the shelf, how visible the signage is, and how well it is stocked or replenished throughout the day. Photos or short video snippets that clearly show the shelf positioning, signage, and stock levels are essential and must be timestamped to prove the visit took place in store.
Deliverables for every store visited:
• A short narrative report (≈400 words) summarising shopper behaviour and any standout insights
• A simple checklist confirming shelf positioning, signage visibility, and stock status
• 6–10 clear images (or a 60-second video) that back up your notes
All files should be uploaded in a single folder, labelled by date and store name.
If you have retail research experience—or just a keen eye and a discreet approach—let me know how many specialty stores you can realistically cover this week and which Australian regions you can reach easily.
