Solar PV Feasibility Study for Offshore Semi-Submersible Accommodation Vessels

Job ID: 40384486

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 SGD

We are an energy solutions company seeking an experienced solar PV engineer or consultant to conduct a preliminary technical feasibility study for the installation of solar PV panels on two semi-submersible accommodation vessels currently operating offshore Brazil.

Scope of Work:
The deliverable is a feasibility study report covering the following:

System sizing based on available deck area (~324 sqm per vessel) and local solar irradiance conditions
Assessment of key technical challenges specific to the offshore marine environment (dynamic vessel heading, motion and vibration loading, saltwater corrosion, shading analysis)
Indicative equipment specifications (marine-grade PV panels, inverters, mounting systems)
Electrical integration approach with the vessel's existing onboard power system
Indicative cost estimate for the full installation
Identification of relevant marine certification and classification society requirements (e.g. DNV, Bureau Veritas)

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in solar PV system design
Prior exposure to offshore, marine, or naval projects is strongly preferred
Familiarity with marine electrical systems and/or classification society requirements is a plus
Able to produce a clear, professional report suitable for a management-level presentation

Additional Notes:
All project documentation shared will be subject to a confidentiality agreement prior to engagement. We will provide vessel general arrangement drawings, electrical load data, and power consumption trends to the selected candidate.
