Marine Power Cable laying termination & Installation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m preparing a new production area and need an experienced marine electrical technician to take full ownership of the power-cable laying termination and installation. The job is strictly industrial in scope—nothing residential or light-commercial—so familiarity with high-capacity panels, cable trays, and heavy-duty containment systems is essential.
The task involves running several lengths of armoured power cable from the main switchboard to motors and control cabinets on the shop floor. I will supply the cables and termination kits; you bring the know-how, pulling gear, test instruments (megger, multimeter), and all hand tools needed to complete the work safely and to code.
Deliverables
• Route, pull, and secure the power cables in existing trays/ladder racks without damaging insulation
• Gland, terminate, and label both ends precisely to the drawings I’ll provide
• Perform insulation-resistance and continuity tests, documenting results for my QA file
• Hand over a brief as-built sketch or mark-up showing final routes and terminations
Compliance with local electrical regulations and plant safety rules is non-negotiable; I’ll arrange permits and isolation, but you must follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.
