Marine Maintenance Software Testing

My new Fleet maintenance-tracking platform has cleared lab checks and is ready for shipboard validation. The work now centres on two live-environment tasks:
• Functionality testing – run every feature in day-to-day engine-room routines and confirm it logs, alerts and syncs correctly.
• Performance testing during voyages – keep the software active while underway, note any lag, data loss or sensor drop-outs and record conditions at the time.
Because the tool will sit beside existing PMS and logbook systems, your general familiarity with maintenance-tracking solutions is enough; no single brand is mandatory. You will connect remotely at first for a short walk-through, then operate the program on your vessel or during your shift as chief engineer. I will supply the installer, test scripts and simple KPI sheets. Sessions will be billed hourly, and I’ll adapt the schedule to your watch rotations.
Expected deliverables after each run:
1. Completed KPI sheet and annotated screenshots or screen recordings.
2. A brief voice or video debrief highlighting any functional gaps, false alarms or performance dips.
If clear, reliable feedback comes in, we roll straight into the next build the same week.
