Install Helm Lanyard Kill Switch
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I need a competent marine electrician or RIB specialist to fit a lanyard-style engine kill switch at the helm of my Zodiac Pro Man 7.
Scope of work
• Supply (or advise on) a reliable lanyard kill switch with waterproof casing.
• Integrate it cleanly into the existing helm console, tying into the ignition circuit without affecting other electronics.
• Protect all wiring with marine-grade connectors, heat-shrink and proper fusing.
• Run operational checks: engine shut-off on pull, restart sequence, and water-spray test to confirm waterproof integrity.
• Walk me through basic use and maintenance, plus leave a wiring diagram for future reference.
You will come to my house for installation. Please outline your experience with similar RIB installations and an estimated turnaround time.
