Restore MariaDB, Fix Zabbix
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
My Zabbix server went down after I tried to tune MariaDB and accidentally removed ib_logfile0. Restarting the service should have regenerated the file, yet it refuses to appear and MariaDB will not start.
I don’t have a backup of ib_logfile0, the logs show a non-standard error (not a size or permission issue), and the only recent change was a tweak to MariaDB’s configuration. Everything else on the Linux host is untouched.
What I need now is experienced help to:
• bring MariaDB back online without data loss,
• ensure Zabbix starts and collects data normally again,
• explain the recovery steps so I can repeat them if necessary.
If you have solid troubleshooting skills with MariaDB/InnoDB recovery and are comfortable working on a live Zabbix installation, please let me know how soon you can jump in and what information you’ll need from my side (logs, my.cnf, etc.).
