MariaDB Single Server Optimization and Configuration for High-Traffic WordPress Site
Budget: €8 – €100 EUR
I have a new dedicated server that will be used exclusively for MariaDB. The server runs a fresh installation of Ubuntu. Its only purpose is to host and optimize the database for my WordPress website.
The goal: My site will eventually handle around 100,000 pages, which means a very large number of database entries and high query volume.
The website itself runs on a separate server with the following stack:
LiteSpeed
WordPress
Redis
PHP 8.3
Now, regarding the database server:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 6-Core (Zen 4 with AMD 3D V-Cache Technology)
RAM: 192 GB DDR5 ECC
Drives: 2× 1.92 TB NVMe Gen 4
OS: Ubuntu (fresh installation)
Usage: MariaDB only
Traffic Level: High-performance, high-concurrency WordPress with lots of scheduled tasks and real-time queries.
I am looking only for freelancers with deep expertise in MariaDB performance tuning and server configuration for high-traffic, large-scale WordPress environments.
The task includes:
Optimized installation of MariaDB (latest stable)
Full tuning of configuration files (my.cnf, buffer sizes, InnoDB, connection limits, etc.)
OS-level tuning for MariaDB performance (disk I/O, swap, sysctl, etc.)
Optional: SSL setup for secure remote connections from the web server
Optional: Setting up proper monitoring/logging (e.g., slow query log, performance schema)
Please apply only if you have hands-on experience with similar setups at this scale or higher. My goal is to get the maximum performance out of this hardware for large-scale WordPress database operations.
