Remote Factory Planning and Machinery Advisor / Consultant - Mango Processing Plant

We are a Thailand-based agricultural company specializing in growing and processing high-quality mangoes. We are currently in the planning stages of building a factory that will produce a variety of mango-based products, such as pickled mangoes, mango jams, and other innovative offerings. We have a factory layout proposal in place that can be adjusted if necessary. We are looking for an experienced remote consultant/advisor with expertise in factory planning and machinery selection for food processing plants to help us refine our factory plans and source the best machines cost/benefit-wise for our new facility.
Responsibilities:
- Review our existing factory layout proposal remotely and provide suggestions for adjustments if needed to optimize space utilization, production flow, and overall efficiency
- Provide guidance on the selection of appropriate machinery and equipment for efficient mango processing, focusing on cost/benefit analysis and reputable suppliers
- Assist in the development of production processes and workflows to optimize factory efficiency, product quality, and safety
- Collaborate with our local team to ensure a smooth integration of the selected machinery and equipment into the factory layout and production process
- Provide ongoing remote support and expertise as needed during the initial phase of factory operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in food processing plant planning and machinery selection, with a focus on fruit-based products (a degree is not required, but relevant experience is essential)
- Strong knowledge of factory planning principles, including space utilization, production flow, and efficiency optimization
- Familiarity with food processing machinery and equipment, as well as their suppliers (available in South East Asia) and technical specifications
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, quality control standards, and certification processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse, multicultural team
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with our team and partners via virtual meetings and communication tools
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Thai is a plus but not required
