Mens Polo Manufacturing & QC Oversight
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I am launching a premium menswear clothing brand and require an experienced sourcing and production manager to oversee the manufacturing of a premium men's polo shirt and matching shorts set.
A tech pack will be provided. I am looking for an expert who can source suitable factories, obtain samples, manage production, and ensure the finished products meet premium quality standards.
The successful candidate should have experience working directly with clothing manufacturers and should be able to take ownership of the entire manufacturing process from factory selection through to final quality approval.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Factory Sourcing
• Identify and recommend suitable clothing manufacturers
• Source factories capable of producing premium menswear
• Obtain quotations from multiple factories
• Compare pricing, quality and minimum order quantities
• Negotiate pricing and production terms
Sample Development
• Coordinate sample production
• Review sample quality and workmanship
• Recommend improvements where necessary
• Ensure samples match specifications and design requirements
• Manage revisions with the factory
Production Management
• Act as the main point of contact with the manufacturer
• Manage production timelines and milestones
• Monitor manufacturing progress
• Resolve production issues
• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications
Quality Control
• Verify garment measurements and sizing
• Check fabric quality and consistency
• Inspect stitching, trims and finishing
• Review branding, labels and packaging
• Ensure final production matches approved samples
• Conduct or arrange quality inspections before shipment
DELIVERABLES
• Factory shortlist with recommendations
• Manufacturing cost comparison report
• Sample review and approval reports
• Production management and progress updates
• Quality control reports
• Final production approval before shipment
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 5 years experience in clothing manufacturing
• Experience sourcing clothing factories internationally
• Experience managing apparel production
• Strong understanding of garment construction and quality control
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to provide references or examples of previous projects
