LLDPE Tank Screen Printing Ink Advice
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I manufacture LLDPE plastic water-tanks and want to add a crisp red logo by manual screen printing. I need an experienced printer or ink technician to walk me through exactly which ink system and supporting consumables will give me an instant-dry result that also stands up to outdoor abuse.
Key requirements I must hit are simple but non-negotiable: the ink has to be Red, it must flash-off or cure fast enough to keep production flowing, and the finished print needs high durability with strong UV resistance so the colour does not chalk or fade on rooftops.
I am agnostic about brands and suppliers, so your objective advice on the best formulations, pretreatments for low-surface-energy LLDPE, mesh counts, squeegee duros, and curing parameters is welcome. If primers, additives, or post-bake steps are essential, please spell that out along with any health-and-safety or environmental notes.
Deliverables I will look for:
• A concise specification sheet listing recommended ink line, catalyst or hardener ratios, mesh range, and curing profile
• A bill of materials with at least two potential suppliers for each item where possible
• Practical setup and printing workflow—including surface prep, print stroke, flash or IR settings, and adhesion/abrasion test methods
• Troubleshooting tips for common issues such as pin-holing, smearing, or poor adhesion on curved tanks
If you have sample photos or lab data from similar LLDPE jobs, that will strengthen your proposal.
