Create Manufacturing-Ready STEP Models -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have eight custom prototype parts sketched by hand that now need to be turned into precise, manufacturer-ready STEP files. These files will go straight to my machining partners, so every feature that affects fit, form, or function must be modeled—no guesswork or omissions.
Here’s how I see the workflow:
• I’ll supply scans or photos of each hand sketch together with all dimensions, tolerances, thread specs, or material notes I already have.
• You translate each drawing into a clean 3D model and export it as a STEP file (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar—your choice, as long as the STEP output is flawless).
• Before final delivery, we’ll do a quick screen-share or annotated PDF review so I can verify critical dimensions. Small tweaks are expected until everything matches the sketches.
Acceptance criteria for each part:
1. Geometry mirrors the provided sketches within stated tolerances.
2. All holes, threads, fillets, and other manufacturing features are included.
3. Final files open error-free in common CAD/CAM packages.
Send me a short note outlining:
• Which CAD platform you’ll use.
• What additional information you’ll need from me beyond the sketches.
• A rough timeline for turning around all eight parts.
Once we’re aligned, I’ll upload the sketches and we can get started right away.
