3D Designer for Consumer and Specialty Products
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
We are looking for a talented and innovative 3D designer to join our team on a contract basis. You will be designing high-quality products across various categories, including home electronics, medical accessories, and sim racing equipment. If you are skilled in SolidWorks and passionate about creating functional and aesthetically pleasing designs, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
-Design and develop 3D models for a variety of products, including consumer electronics, medical devices, and specialty accessories.
-Collaborate with our team to conceptualize and refine product designs.
-Create production-ready 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing.
-Conduct feasibility studies and ensure designs meet material, structural, and manufacturing requirements.
-Implement ergonomic and user-centric principles into product designs.
-Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results.
Requirements:
-Proficiency in SolidWorks (license will be provided if needed).
-Proven experience in 3D design, preferably in consumer products, electronics, or specialty industries (portfolio required).
-Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques, including 3D printing, injection molding, and CNC machining.
-Familiarity with materials commonly used in electronics, medical devices, and specialty products.
-Ability to create detailed technical drawings and assembly instructions.
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in designing for consumer products and knowledge of industry standards.
-Familiarity with rendering tools like KeyShot, Blender, or equivalent for visualizing designs.
-Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
-Knowledge of rapid prototyping and iterative design processes.
