Job Title: Vending Machine Design Engineer (Product Design + Embedded Systems)
Description:
Looking for a skilled engineer or design team to create the complete blueprint and software for a custom slushy vending machine. This includes:
Mechanical design (CAD blueprints)
Refrigeration system integration
Electronics and embedded system design
Payment system (NFC/contactless) integration
Firmware/software to control the machine and user interface
You will deliver full design documentation, wiring diagrams, source code, and testing guidelines.
Requirements:
Proven experience in vending machine or similar appliance design
Expertise in mechanical design and embedded software development
Ability to design efficient, reliable refrigeration and dispensing systems
Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate remotely
Portfolio of relevant projects highly preferred

The machine must have a clean, modern appearance with a glass panel in front of a built-in LED screen that plays custom looping videos (e.g., slushy ads, animations) 24/7. It should support NFC/contactless payment, have an intuitive user interface, and be visually appealing enough to stand out in public or urban spaces think futuristic drink lab.
Most importantly, the design must be highly cost-efficient and optimized for mass production, suitable for a startup environment. The total production cost per unit should not exceed $5,000, using budget-conscious components and scalable engineering choices

Provide detailed links to all electrical components used in the design (preferably suppliers or datasheets).
Include an estimated total cost breakdown of the vending machine based on your design and component pricing.

The cheaper you can make the machine while keeping its modern features, the larger your performance bonus will be.

Base Payment: $500 — for delivering a fully modern, functional design (regardless of budget-friendliness).
Bonus: Additional $25 to $500 if the design stays within the target production cost (≤ $5k). The closer to the lower cost, the higher the bonus.
