Seinen Adventure Manga Illustration

I’m putting together a pilot chapter for a seinen-targeted adventure series and need an artist who can handle every visual step—from rough layouts through final traditional black-and-white pages. The story skews mature in tone but leans heavily on kinetic action and detailed environments, so confident anatomy, expressive faces, and cinematic panel composition are all essential.

Scope
• Pilot chapter: roughly 30–35 story pages plus a splash cover
• Traditional manga style line work and screentone shading; no color required
• Clean, print-ready files (600 dpi TIFF or layered PSD) delivered page-by-page so I can give feedback throughout

What I’ll supply
• Full script with panel notes
• Character profiles and reference boards
• Rough thumbnail suggestions for pacing

What I need from you
• Pencilled layouts for approval, followed by inks and tones
• Occasional SFX lettering in Japanese style (I can provide text if needed)
• Willingness to iterate quickly during the layout stage; minor revisions expected after inking

Acceptance criteria
1. Consistent seinen aesthetic: realistic proportions, mature mood, dynamic action.
2. Balanced blacks/whites so pages reproduce clearly in print and on digital readers.
3. Final files meet 600 dpi, B5 trim with 3 mm bleed.
