Initial D-Inspired Manga Tribute

I’d like to commission a black-and-white, manga-style comic that captures my husband tearing through the famous Tail of the Dragon in true Initial D spirit in his Mr2. The finished book should run somewhere between ten and twenty pages and feel as if it could sit on the same shelf as Shigeno’s work—speed-line panels, dramatic close-ups, onomatopoeia, and all.

Story details
• My husband is the central driver and hero. Please mirror his real-world car, driving stance, and a hint of his personality (confident but not cocky).
• The Tail of the Dragon’s 318 curves need to be recognizable as he lives on it: tight hairpins, forested backdrops, and the occasional overlook.
• I’ll supply reference photos of him and the car once we begin; you are free to embellish the rival vehicles and side characters to heighten the drama.

Visual style
Black-and-white line art with classic manga screentone shading—no colour except cover lettering or speed effect highlights if you feel they add punch. I’m after crisp, high-contrast inks that reproduce cleanly in print.

Workflow and deliverables
1. Rough storyboard / thumbnail set for all pages so we can lock pacing and angles.
2. Clean pencils for approval, followed by final inks and screentones.
3. Print-ready PDF (300 dpi, bleeds included) plus layered PSD/Clip Studio files.
4. A separate high-resolution cover image suitable for social media sharing.
