Drama Musical Stage Production Producer
Budget: £1,500 – £3,000 GBP
I need a producer to oversee a stage production of a drama musical, targeted predominantly towards adults. Aspects of the project are open to interpretation, allowing for creative freedom in terms of production direction. The successful candidate needs expertise in the following areas:
- Previous experience in drama musical production
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
- Ability to multitask and handle production schedules under pressure
- Knowledge of adult audience preferences and market trends
A strong tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to work with a flexible schedule would be beneficial. The goal of this project is to create a memorable, high-quality drama musical that will appeal to an adult audience. The two main characters in our original story have serious social issues, e.g. homelessness/rough sleeping, substance abuse and mental heath and we are working with a number of charities and their clients that deal with these issues to ensure our script is realistic. In addition to delivering an original work of exciting and engaging musical theatre, our aim is to engage our audiences in an understanding of these social issues and an empathy with our characters.
