configurable products issues - Magento

When creating configurable products in the catalog. (see screenshot example), the products are not displaying on the front end, and when categories are attached they also cause this error on front end. “An error has happened during application run. See exception log for details.”

I have left just one sample in the product section to review. Also attached in chart below is the actual data for the configurable product sample.
