Various tasks for customization of my Magento 1 webshop and Wordpress website
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a freelancer who can help me improve my Magento 1 webshop and Wordpress website.
Regarding the following tasks:
1. Please add a WhatsApp button that is always visible in the bottom-right corner of the website (Wordpress).
I tried to set this up using a plugin, but I couldn’t get it working properly. That’s why I need your help implementing it manually or finding a reliable solution.
Requirements:
The button should stay fixed in the bottom-right corner on all pages.
It should be visible on both desktop and mobile.
When clicked, it should open WhatsApp with our phone number.
The button should not overlap important website elements.
Please style it clearly as a WhatsApp contact button, preferably using the WhatsApp icon.
2. Please integrate a Google Reviews plugin/system so I can display reviews from our Google Business profile in different sections of the website (Wordpress).
The most important thing right now is the functionality and proper integration. I will handle the final placement/design adjustments myself later, but I first need a flexible and reliable setup.
Requirements:
Connect the website to our Google Business profile.
Make it possible to display Google reviews in multiple locations/pages.
The reviews should update automatically when new reviews are posted.
The integration should be lightweight and not slow down the website.
Please make sure the setup is stable and easy to manage.
Preferably use a shortcode, widget, block, or reusable component so reviews can easily be placed anywhere on the site later.
3. We are experiencing a Magento 1 URL rewrite issue affecting category pages.
Example URLs:
/postkaarten/onderwerpen/teddyberen-kaarten-369.html
/postkaarten/onderwerpen/teddyberen-kaarten-409.html
The numeric suffixes are being added automatically and seem to change over time, even without manually saving the categories.
This is causing unstable internal links and potential SEO problems (duplicate URLs, changing indexed URLs, inconsistent canonicals, etc.).
It appears to be related to Magento 1 URL rewrite generation, possibly involving:
duplicate url_key values
stale/orphaned entries in core_url_rewrite
rewrite regeneration during reindexing or cron jobs
store view rewrite conflicts
extensions/import scripts recreating rewrites
Could you please investigate:
Duplicate request_path entries in core_url_rewrite
Duplicate category/product url_key values
Old/orphaned rewrite records
Any automated process regenerating rewrites
Why Magento keeps generating new numeric suffixes instead of preserving stable category URLs
Goal:
We want stable canonical category URLs without changing numeric suffixes being appended automatically over time.
4. There is an old recurring issue with the search index where products sometimes show a “Product not found” error (Magento).
This problem has returned multiple times, so I would like you to properly investigate and solve the root cause instead of applying a temporary fix.
Requirements:
Investigate why products are disappearing or becoming unavailable in the search index.
Fix the underlying issue permanently if possible.
Make sure products remain correctly indexed and accessible.
Check whether this issue is related to caching, permalinks, database indexing, plugins, search functionality, or synchronization problems.
Verify that the issue does not return after updates or cache clears.
5. We have several pages that already include FAQ sections. Please explain and implement the best way to connect these FAQ sections to proper FAQ schema markup (Wordpress).
We already use Yoast SEO Premium, so please first check how this can be done within the existing Yoast setup.
Requirements:
Review all pages that contain FAQ sections.
Check whether the FAQ content is correctly marked up as FAQ schema.
Explain the best workflow for adding FAQ schema in the future.
If Yoast FAQ blocks are needed, please explain how we should use them.
Make sure the visible FAQ content on the page matches the structured data.
Check if other smart schema improvements are useful, such as Service, Local Business, Breadcrumbs, Contact Page, About Page, or Review schema where appropriate.
Validate the setup with Google Rich Results Test and/or Google Search Console.
Avoid duplicate, hidden, or misleading schema markup.
Keep the setup simple so we can maintain it ourselves later.
My maximum budget for this task is €100.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
