ErosWholesale is a B2C and B2B wholesale company that has been in business for over 60 years. Sporting over 30,000 skus in their catalog, we sell products by the caseload to end consumers, charitable organizations, party planners, and more. These sales primarily occur through e-commerce.
The website is on Magento Open Source 2.4.x and using ScandiPWA as the frontend. We are looking primarily for a backend developer that has solid experience with the Magento platform and that can work independently, without handholding. The ideal candidate will have all or most of the following skills/knowledge:
* Magento 2 Certification(s) - This is not required but depending on which certifications the candidate has will provide an advantage to the candidate
* Solid experience with PHP
* Solid understanding of OOP
* Solid understanding of Magento best practices
* Solid understanding of MySQL database operations
* Solid knowledge of how GraphQL works in general as well as how it works within the context of the Magento platform
* Good understanding of how to create custom caches in Magento
* Good understanding of how Magento indexers work
* Experience with source control (GIT)
* Experience with submitting pull requests
* Cloudflare experience is a plus
* ReactJS experience is a plus because we use ScandiPWA as the frontend. This is, however, not a requirement, just a bonus skill.
This would be an open-ended engagement at an hourly rate. Expected commitment of at least 10-15 hours a week.
