Magento 2.4 work needed for quarantined malware

Job ID: 37752169

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I have an operating e-commerce shop on Magento 2.4.0.
Our hosting company has quarantined malware and has given us instructions on how to remove it but I am not a developer so need help.
We have some ongoing issues with the website which I think might be related to the malware.
This includes some customers getting 404 error after inputting details at checkout
Issues with the order of invoices displayed in backend.
Issues with Product in backend - there is a search query which won't allow deletion so we are unable to access the Product area - eg to change prices or update stock figures.
We have some other niggles which may be better suited to a follow-up project. We have some patches needed so I am unsure if it is more cost effective to have the patches applied or to upgrade to 2.4.6 ?
Thank you!
