Magento 2 update to latest version and fix too many entry processes

Our server is going down due to too many entry processes. We cannot find the real issue and it might be, because of an older version of Magento. Current version of this Magento 2 store is: 2.3.6
So first idea is too upgrade magento 2 to latest 2.4.X with its modules.
