Context/Background
VELEC is a leading electric bicycle distributor and marketer active in Canada since 2005. Velec has been an innovator in the e-bike market ahead of the competition and has sold in excess of 100 000 bikes. Velec currently has a number of bicycle dealers in the USA and is expanding in the USA while selling direct through its new VelecEbikes.com website.
The current Velec.ca website is built on a Magento template - Athlete2 by Olegnax and was re-designed in April 2022 but is not transactional. It includes a limited product catalog with 40 SKUs and description but is missing prices in USD and functionalities for users to place an order online, get confirmation and tracking.
Project scope:
While using the current Velec.ca website we need to re-design and optimize pages to make the site fully transactional. We will be using Stripe for payment processing.
The initial focus is re-designing the homepage while adding and re-organizing some of the current sections. We will also need to add plugins for a newsletter popup and possibly a ChatBot.
