Megento reward items - Virtual items
Create one attributes under Virtual product section for points. Also, entire website virtual item will don’t have a price field.
Create a category to list down all reward products (Virtual PRODUCTS ONLY) through above condition. ( Also need to make this category non- index). This category need to be able to sort by points.
Reward products will be “added in cart” from detail page only by customer (Only logged in customers with term filed “30 Days EOM” ) and with Reward points > 0 in account. Add condition to show “ add to cart” on detail page for reward product only where customer should have >0 amount of reward. Need to disable extra options of normal product like Request a quote, Enquire now.
Users will be able to add one type of product to their cart, not both types i.e. normal + reward. When one type of product already added to cart, customer will see appropriate message while adding another type of product like “You have reward item/s in your shopping cart. Please complete your order using reward points or empty your cart before adding regular products to your cart.”
On checkout page will add condition to show/hide "Place Order" button based on total amount of reward of cart and total amount of reward in customer account.
While placing an order, it will check whether customer has enough points for all items added to their cart. It won’t allow to place an order, if customers points balance is less than cart points balance like, “Your current reward points balance is XXXX which you are trying to redeem YYYY points. Remove item/s from your cart to match with your reward points balance before placing your order.” So It will allow to place an order only if customers points balance is higher than cart redeem points.
Upon placing an order, it will decrease reward point from customer section.
After customer place an order, customer will receive an email notification about they place an order of reward point. Also CC our email.
Clean reward product from cart after/before logged.
Create a cron import/ export for reward point upload via CSV. Be able to set current system all reward point into 0.

o All customers will be able to access this category having reward products assigned to it
o Price of all reward products should be $0.
o Will consider any virtual product as a reward product if price is $0, there are reward points mentioned in product.
