Magento 2 – Argento Theme & SwissUp Extensions Customization (CSS & Style Adjustments)

We are seeking an experienced Magento 2 front-end developer to perform a series of specific design and style adjustments on one of our live Magento 2 store, which uses the Argento Chic theme and SwissUpLabs extensions.
- We operate a Magento 2 multistore site.
- The Argento theme is applied to only one store. Other stores run different themes and must remain unaffected.
- We are currently focusing on perfecting the Argento-themed store, and once satisfied, we may apply it to the rest. So you will assist with this.
Customization Requirements
All changes must be:
- Upgrade-proof – Should not be overwritten by future updates of Argento or SwissUp extensions.
- Documented – Each change must be clearly documented (CSS selectors, file paths, override methods).
- Properly structured – If not added via Magento backend (Theme Editor), the code must go in:
/web/magento2/app/design/frontend/Local/argento-chic-custom/web/css/source
Task List
1. SwissUp Label Extension
- Refer to image1 and image2
- Change label background on category and product pages to #f6a800
- Set label text color to #ffffff
2. Review Stars Styling (Category & Product Pages)
- Refer to image3 and image4
- Change star color to #f6a800, keeping them sharp and clean
- Note: Stars are SVG backgrounds. You may need to:
- Edit the SVG’s fill color
- Convert to base64 (e.g. via https://codebeautify.org/svg-to-base64-converter)
- Override background-image using the encoded SVG
3. Review Tab Stars (Product Page)
- Refer to image5
- Update hover and selected stars to color #f6a800
4. Back-in-Stock Notification Styling
- Refer to image6
- Text color should be #009900
- Font should be bold or the same size as the "Out of Stock" notice
5. Category View Block Height
- Refer to image7
- Default .category-view block height is 255.6px, even when empty
- Reduce default to 130px, but allow height to expand up to 255.6px if needed
6. Mini-Cart Icon Dot Color
- Refer to image8
- When a product is added to the cart, a black dot appears on the cart icon
- Change this indicator color to #f6a800
Working Environment & Access
- Hosted on Hypernode – you’ll get SSH access after adding your public SSH key
- Production site – all changes must be made with caution
- No enabling developer mode without prior approval
- Changes must be scoped only to the Argento store
