Fix Couple of website issues

I have Magento 1 website with couple of minor issues. 1. In the Magento Admin Panel Website payments made by credit card show as "Pending" instead of "Processing" - this needs fixing. 2. Discount Codes on website not working, discount is being displayed on website but not removed from total
