Custom Magento Swatches Module

We want to alter the default Magento Swatches / Configurable products functionality with a custom module. Normally when creating a configurable product in Magento it will create the associated simples and set those to "Not visible individually". On the frontend you will get the configurable visible and you can visit it and select the other simples through the swatches or options shown. But what we want to do is make the configurable "Not visible individually" and the simples "Catalog" or "Catalog, Search" as visibility. When we are doing that now the simples are visible in the catalog, so thats working but the swatches / options are not shown on the product page when visiting the simple directly. So we would like to have this swatches / options block visible on simple product pages, and the product seo url of the simples behind the swatches, so when you click a certain configuration you will link to the other simple.

In short the module needs the following functionality:
- Show options / swatches block on simple product page.
- Link options / swatches options to simple product SEO URL.
- Preselect options / swatches of visited simple URL.
- Enable/Disable functionality per store/website.
