Change sku (model) attribute instead of another attribute on product page Magento 2

I need an experienced Magento 2 developer to make a change to the product page. Specifically, I need to show another attribute in the place of the sku (model) attribute on the product page across the entire site. This change will be universal, meaning it will apply to all products and will not be limited to specific products only. We are not changing or re-assigning any of the existing model numbers, so no new model numbers will be assigned.
